The Crichton Carbon Centre is seeking to appoint a part time Project Officer to join our team and deliver our new Peatland Connections project. 

This is an exciting multidisciplinary project so needs someone who can bring stakeholders together, work with external organisations and experts and be very organised and confident in their approach to the project.

We are looking for a good communicator who is creative and enthusiastic.

Peatland Connections builds on our work supporting sustainable land management practices and local collaborations with government agencies, land managers, communities, artists and NGO’s. Peatland Connections will develop a bottom-up collaborative approach by bringing together a wide range of stakeholders with arts and science to ultimately develop a methodology to enaction the “natural capital” approach to land use.


Communication is at the heart of the project 

We want a project that is creative and innovative in its approach to communications with people from a wide range of audiences engaged with the project and the themes of peatlands, climate change, sustainable land use and natural capital.

Peatland Connections is funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, Galloway Glens Heritage Lottery Landscape Partnership Scheme and the Crichton Carbon Centre.
