Lisa Gibson is Project Officer at the Crichton Carbon Centre.Lisa was one of the first students on MSc Carbon Management course delivered by the Carbon Centre and University of Glasgow, graduating with distinction. Previously, she worked as a project officer at the Dumfries and Galloway Environmental Resources Centre undertaking a regional project to involve the public in biological recording. Lisa has also worked at the Carbon Centre as a research assistant during her MSc, working on the Carbon Opportunities project and carrying out literature reviews on biochar and pyrolysis.
Lisa is currently working with Dumfries and Galloway College to help them conform to the Universities and Colleges Climate Commitment for Scotland. This involves calculating their baseline carbon footprint and to help them to develop a 5 year action plan. It also entails raising awareness amongst students and staff through the publication of articles on climate change, the project and ways that the college and individuals can reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.
Lisa also lectures on the Introduction to Carbon Management business course and is a Teaching Assistant on the MSc in Applied Carbon Management.
